Cuerpos que [se] miran

Client Flacso Ecuador
Exhibition — 2017

The exhibition space of contemporary arts Arte Actual Flacso (Ecuador) commissioned the creation of a graphic concept and identity for the exhibition "Cuerpos que se miran" as well as the design of several supporting graphic pieces. The project presented itself as a challenge, since almost new codes had to be used in the design, aiming at maximum accessibility for all. The title of the sample was the determining factor in the composition of the image of the exhibition, where in order to transmit the appropriate values an own typography was selected,"Blind Type" inspired by the mixture of the braille and Latin alphabet.

The exhibition recognises the work of several international artists with disabilities who concentrate their work on a reform of disability representation, the main objective of which is to promote new narratives and thus question the most common stereotypes of disability.
